Israel up, Britain down

Britain remained the largest market with 30.5% of tourists, but arrivals from the UK fell by about 8% and their daily spending dropped to €104.13. Israel, the second market with 23.3%, sent about 28% more tourists, who spent €178.44 a day on average. Poland was third with 6.3% and €92.40 a day, according to the CYSTAT release.

What it means for rental owners

Shorter stays with higher daily spending mean more check-ins and cleaning for the same income. Owners of short-term rentals should look at the length of stay and the guest mix, not only at the number of tourists. Demand also depends more on a few markets, so a change in travel from Britain or Israel affects the whole season.
